Meet Miss Teri - A Lifetime of Dance Excellence !
With over 45 years of teaching experience, Miss Teri has dedicated her life to sharing the art of dance with students of all ages. Beginning her own dance journey at just three years old, she went on to receive her teaching certification through Dance Masters of America, one of the nation’s most respected dance organizations. She also studied business at Kent State University, which has helped her successfully lead and grow thriving performing arts studios for decades.
Throughout her career, Miss Teri has trained with professional dancers and choreographers in New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas, Cleveland, and Columbus, always staying inspired and current in her craft. Her passion for education has reached beyond her own studios—she has developed dance programs for performing arts schools, taught in high schools, and led outreach programs bringing dance to hundreds of students.
Her influence can be seen in the success of her students, many of whom have gone on to perform on Broadway, in Disney productions, on cruise lines, and in professional theaters around the world. Some have even opened their own studios, carrying forward the love of dance she instilled in them.
Above all, Miss Teri believes dance is about more than steps and technique. It’s about confidence, creativity, discipline, and joy. Her mission is to provide a safe, encouraging space where every child feels like they belong and can reach their fullest potential—whether they dream of a professional career or simply want to find the magic of movement.
At Columbiana Performing Arts Center and Hermitage Performing Arts Academy, Miss Teri brings her decades of expertise and her lifelong passion for teaching to every student who walks through the door. Parents can feel confident knowing their children are learning from a teacher who has not only stood the test of time but continues to inspire the next generation every single day.
"Decades of Dance, generations of students,
